This is the last book on a four part series on a California vacation from
August of 2013. The resulting books are a combined effort of a whole
family exploring and enjoying the majestic beauty of the state and the
company of each other. These books, with their quotes and words of
wisdom, would stand well on their own as coffee table travel books of
place and thought but take on another aspect with the addition of actual
family vacation pictures expressing the warmth and beauty of families in
times of joyful exchanges. Family life can be boring, painful and too
confined when seen only in the light of daily living and surviving. It
very often does not accurately reflect the feelings and dreams of the
members. We are often not really what we appear to be or are
demanded to be by the roles we must play in our daily family life. It is
often very gratifying to step out of our roles and try to find out who we
really are and would like to be.
We should not lose touch with the child that remains within our hearts.
