The 300 Series stainless steel exterior components of this motor provide maximum corrosion resistance in severe-duty and washdown environments. The motor is well-sealed against moisture and condensation to protect internal components, and the exterior is completely paint- and coating-free. A heavy polyester insulating varnish is applied to the windings for extra moisture and corrosion resistance. Additional features include a moisture-resistant sealant between the frame and endbells and double-sealed oversized bearings with rust-inhibitive grease. The shaft-end bearing is locked internally to limit axial endplay. 4 drains in each endshield allow drainage of condensation in any mounting position. This motor is for use in the food processing, chemical processing, and beverage industries.
